Operations Monitoring

Sabre® AirCrews® Operations Manager provides real-time operational monitoring capabilities that enable crew operations personnel to accurately keep track of crew and flight operations. By storing vital information in a central database, Operations Manager delivers speedy access to critical data needed to make immediate decisions. In addition, a number of productivity-enhancing tools accelerate the roster development process to help ensure on-time publication.

Resource Planning

Sabre® AirCrews® Resource Manager provides crew planners with the tools to easily generate efficient crew resource plans for up to two years in advance. Flying and reserve needs, training requirements, and vacation and leave requests are some of the many inputs used to generate resource forecasts. Crew shortfall or surplus information is accurately calculated by fleet, rank or base and can be aggregated at daily, weekly or monthly levels. Decision-support capabilities enable crew planners to develop efficient resource plans and determine training and leave schedules that ensure adequate crew availability while minimizing total crew manpower requirements and costs.

Optimized Rostering

Sabre® AirCrews® Roster Optimizer provides crew schedulers with an easy-to-use tool to automatically generate efficient crew rosters that achieve business goals while meeting crew needs. The optimization algorithm in Roster Optimizer supports equitable work assignments based on fairness criteria, crew preferences and desirable roster profile attributes. Users can perform multiple what-if scenarios and analyze the impact of various parameters to arrive at the optimal crew roster.

Training and Venue Management

Sabre® AirCrews® Operations Manager helps planners build a curriculum that leads crewmembers through the various courses and simulator training required to reach a certain desired level. Using pertinent information stored in the central database, planners can quickly schedule simulator or ground training and meetings, and contract out venues when unused to generate additional revenues.

Leave Management and Vacation Tracking

Sabre® AirCrews® Leave Manager provides crew planners with the necessary tools to automatically generate and award annual leave and vacation, as well as track and assign other long-term, ad hoc leave. The annual leave and vacation award process enables the automatic generation of annual leave ballots that correspond with the estimated manpower planning requirements so that leave slots can be assigned during periods of lower crew demand for operational support. If needed, the award of annual leave can be based upon a point-based fairness scheme that can be tailored to ensure crews are rotated across desirable leave periods.

Pairing Optimization

Sabre® AirCrews® Pairing Optimizer offers crew planners the necessary tools to generate legal and efficient crew pairings that achieve an airline’s desired business goals while minimizing the costs associated with the deployment of crews. Crew planners have full control of the solution-generation process and can drive the system to gener ate pairings that best meet the needs of the business, while maintaining crew quality of life. Scenario management capabilities enable crew planners to perform what-if analyses and provide support for planning activities. In addition, Pairing Optimizer accommodates a variety of different schedule types and airline requirements, from regional carriers to large international flag carriers.
