Sabre AirCentre User Conference

Tammsvik, Sweden Jun 20-22, 2011

Overview

Mid-Summer means Sabre AirCentre User Conference - In Stockholm!

Once again, we have the great pleasure of inviting all customers to our Sabre AirCentre User Conference in Stockholm.

The conference will take place June 20-22 at Tammsvik’s Manor, located 30 km Northwest of Stockholm. Tammsvik is situated directly on the shores of Malaren – one of the largest lakes in Sweden. Ground transportation between Arlanda International Airport and Tammsvik is not included. Taxis is available outside the terminals.

The traditional Swedish characteristics of Tammsvik and the surrounding landscape, makes this venue the ideal place for a creative, engaging, fun, yet relaxing meeting.

It will be a spectacular event. The program, from Monday noon of June 20 through Wednesday afternoon  of June 22nd, means you don’t need to sleep many hours (unless you want to). The format of the meeting is a mix of sessions, workshops, product clinics, interactive forums and customer presentations, in multiple parallel tracks. The wide range of subjects includes Crew Planning Optimization, Crew Tracking, Crew Recovery, Crew Legality, Operations Control, Ops Recovery, Flight Planning, Flight Tracking, Time Table Control, Business Reporting, System Administration and Technology. Some of the sessions will focus on strategy while others go in depth in functionality and technology. So regardless if you are a specialized user, IT specialist or business manager – this is a valuable conference.

In addition to the presentations and workshops, we are pleased to extend beyond the core solutions and in-line with Sabre’s’ investment with industry trends and needs in the following areas. These areas open up the conference beyond the normal attendee profile.  We look forward to meeting some new friends and stimulating active debate on where Sabre solutions can extend value to new areas.

Crew Services
A series of demonstrations will be focused at Sabre Crew Services solutions, which provide crew friendly additions to the Crew Scheduling and Crew Operations process. This includes preferential bidding, fleet and base bidding, vacation bidding and overtime. All these solutions are web and mobile enabled. These demonstrations will be of specific interest to Crew Management and Crew Representatives.

Crew Training
Rather than small adds ons to the crew planning process we have taken an approach to solve an airlines crew training requirements. These solutions include training demand forecasting, automatic (cost and demand based) planning of training – including new crew, conversions and upgrades, document management, online and mobile tools and support of APQ and grade based training. These sessions will be specifically focused for representatives of the Crew Training Organizations as well and Crew Training Planners.

Hotel and Transport Services
As an extension of the basic functionality, Sabre has offered solutions where the whole hotel and transport management process can be outsource (to different degrees) to  an expert organization which can substantially reduce crew hotel and transport administration costs. This would be of specific interest to an airlines hotel and travel team management.

Maintenance Control
With the strong progression of Movement Control across the community we are now able to provide the missing link between an airlines MRO system and bring Maintenance Control into the day of Operations. This in a unique offering from Sabre and will be of specific interest to Maintenance Control Management.

Flight Planning
Sabre AirCentre Flight Planning will conduct sessions for Flight Plan Manager (formerly f:wz flywize), Dispatch Manager, and ACARS Manager solutions with a concentration on the issues that specifically impact the European operator.  Come and learn about the latest enhancements and investment activities along with contributing to the discussion on the future of your solution.

Flight Tracking/Aircraft Situation Display
Learn about the latest enhancements to Sabre Air Centre Flight Explorer and how they benefit the global operator.   Interactive sessions will focus on future development plans specifically focusing on the areas of product globalization, diversion management, and airport alerts.

Airport Resource and Gate Management
Planning and managing airport resources for staffing, ground equipment and gate allocations will be reviewed using the flexibility of Sabre AirCentre Airport solutions.  Sessions will look at the planning cycle for airport operations and for the management of resources on the day of operations.

After more than 15 years of these conferences, we know that you all put high value in the exchange of experience and ideas with colleagues from other airlines – in spontaneous conversation as well as in sessions. In order to lay the foundation for this and let you get to know each other better, we will also  arrange a Networking  Day.

The Networking Day will start at noon Monday June 20. In summary, this day is going to be exciting, fun and really challenging. You will all be divided in teams and perform in a multi-discipline event, mainly water related, requiring a team composition of physical and mental strength.
