As senior Vice resident of Customer Care and Support for Sabre Airlines Solutions®, Silagy’s responsibilities include world-wide customer service and support. Silagy has teams in 17 countries on 4 continents, including the award-wining global customer support center in Montevideo, Uruguay. His organization provides product expertise and 24 x 7 global support to over 300 airlines and airports, including technical support and training for the industry’s largest application portfolio.
 
Customer Care and Support is also responsible for Sabre Airline Solutions world-class knowledge management, customer self-service and online training programs that are cornerstones of the Sabre® Community Portal, which provides access to and administration of products an airlines uses. Silagy’s organization operates Sabre® Airline University, a leading airline learning institution, that ensures customer adoption of solutions and provides advanced certifications. Additionally, he also leads U4U, the company’s internal “university” for employee education on the company’s extensive offering of software solutions and services.

Previously, Silagy was senior vice president for Service and Operations Solutions for Sabre Travel Network® where he was responsible for the global customer service and support and consulting services for the company's travel agency customers. Prior positions held include vice president of Global Accounts where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the company's business relationships with large global travel management companies such as American Express, Carlson Wagonlit and BCD, and positions in product development and in numerous international markets. International assignments held include managing director of Europe, Africa and the Middle East in London, managing director for international sales and service, general manager for Sabre de Mexico, Mexico City, and general manager, South East Asia in Hong Kong.

Silagy’s 33 year travel industry career also includes 13 years in management positions with American Airlines in passenger sales, airport operations, cargo and flight service operations.

Silagy earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
